Idle Legions — Terms of Service
Last updated: October 29, 2026
These Terms govern your use of Idle Legions ("the Game"), an online game developed and operated by Alpaca Team ("we", "us"), Spain. Contact: soporte@idlelegions.com.
By playing you accept these Terms, the End User License Agreement (EULA) shown on Steam and our Privacy Policy. Because the Game is distributed through Steam, the Steam Subscriber Agreement (https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/) also applies.
1. Requirements and account
- To play you need a Steam account and must be at least 14 years old, or the minimum age set by the law of your country to give your data without your parents' permission, if that is higher (in the European Union, between 13 and 16 depending on the country). If you are under 18, or a minor in your country, you need the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
- Your Game account is created the first time you log in and is linked to your Steam account. Steam confirms who you are; we never see your Steam password.
- Each Steam account has one Game account. You are responsible for what is done with it.
- When you log in, the Game stores a session key on your computer so you do not have to sign in every time. Do not share it or copy it to anyone: whoever has it can enter your account until it expires.
- You may not sell, rent, lend or share your account.
- If Steam tells us that your account has a Steam ban that applies to this Game, you will not be able to log in.
2. An online game
- The Game needs an internet connection. All combat, loot and progress are calculated and saved on our servers, not on your computer.
- We try to keep the service running at all times, but there may be maintenance, outages or bugs.
- We may change, balance, add or remove content and features to keep the Game fair and working. This can change the power or usefulness of heroes, items and rewards.
- Test phases (closed test, beta or closed launch): during these phases progress may be reset, some features may be incomplete, limited or switched off, and no downloadable content (DLC) is sold: it will arrive with the Game's release. We will announce any progress reset in advance in the Game or on our Steam page.
3. Purchases
- The base Game is free to play. Some content is sold as downloadable content (DLC) on Steam: additional heroes, the premium track of the battle pass (valid for every season) and extra backpack space.
- All payments are handled by Steam (Valve). We do not receive your payment details. Refunds follow Steam's refund policy (https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds/), without prejudice to your statutory rights.
- We check with Steam which DLC you own when you enter the Game (at most once per hour). If a DLC is refunded, its benefits are no longer available in the Game.
- If a change to the Game significantly harms content you have paid for, you keep the rights consumer law gives you, including the right to ask for a remedy.
4. Virtual content
- Gold, items, heroes, pets, materials, chests and all other Game content are a licence to use them inside the Game. They are not your property, have no real-money value and cannot be exchanged with us for money.
- Chests are opened with Game resources; they are not sold for money. The odds of each chest are shown in the Game.
- Some pieces may be tradeable and others are bound to your account. Lower-rarity pieces are always bound; pieces of epic rarity or higher that drop as loot may be tradeable. Modifying a piece (upgrading it, changing its lines, adding runes or gems, etc.) binds it permanently.
- The in-game auction house works only with in-game gold. The guild hero bank lets you lend heroes to guild mates inside the Game.
- If content was obtained through an error, a bug or misuse, we may correct or remove it.
5. Items in your Steam inventory and the Community Market
- When available, you can send some tradeable content (for example pets, tradeable equipment and certain materials) to your Steam inventory. Once sent, that content leaves the Game. There may be limits, such as a maximum number of sends per day, and the feature may be temporarily switched off.
- When you collect an item from your Steam inventory in the Game, that item is consumed on Steam and arrives in the Game through the mailbox.
- What you do with those items on Steam (trades, sales or purchases on the Steam Community Market) is governed by the Steam Subscriber Agreement and Steam's rules. Those transactions are between you, other users and Valve; we are not a party to them, we do not set prices or handle those payments, and we do not guarantee any value. Steam charges its own fees on those transactions, and part of them may go to the publisher of the Game.
- An item on Steam represents Game content and remains subject to these Terms: if we rebalance the Game, what that item does inside the Game may change.
- We record every send and every collection. If an operation fails halfway, we review it using that record and either complete it or reverse it. If someone obtains duplicated or improper items by exploiting a bug, we may remove them, including from the Steam inventory where possible, and apply the measures in section 7.
6. Rules of conduct
You must not:
- Use cheats, bots, automation software, modified clients, packet editing or any exploit of bugs. If you find a bug that gives an advantage, report it instead of using it.
- Attack, overload or try to access our servers or other players' accounts without permission.
- Harass, threaten, insult or discriminate against other players, or post hateful, sexual, violent, illegal, misleading or spam content in chat, names or guild messages.
- Use names that impersonate other people, our team or brands, or that are offensive.
- Buy or sell accounts, gold, items or other Game content for real money outside the Steam features provided for that purpose.
- Move gold between your own accounts, for example through the auction house or duel bets. You may have more than one account, but you must not use them to abuse rewards, the auction house, rankings, PvP, sending to Steam or other players.
- Scam or deceive other players in the auction house, in guilds or on the Steam Market.
7. Moderation and enforcement
- Automatic system: the server rejects impossible or too-fast actions and detects signs of cheating. Offences add up: first a warning, then a disconnection, then temporary suspensions (for example 1 hour and 24 hours) and, if they continue, a permanent suspension of the account. Offences are forgotten over time if they are not repeated. Some actions that can happen during normal play are only rejected and do not count as an offence.
- Cheating: a modified client or invented requests (for example moving faster than the Game allows, or sending requests the Game never sends) lead to a permanent suspension of the account the first time, without a warning.
- Gold between your own accounts: auction house purchases and duel bets between your own accounts are blocked. The first time you get a warning. The second time the account is suspended permanently.
- Connection measures: to protect the service we may temporarily limit or block connections from an IP address that sends abusive traffic.
- Manual review: depending on how serious it is, we may also warn you, remove content obtained improperly, reset progress, change a name, delete messages, or suspend the account temporarily or permanently. In serious cases (cheating, attacks, fraud) we may do this without prior warning.
- Your right to appeal: if you think a measure is a mistake, write to soporte@idlelegions.com with your in-game name. A person will review the case and reply to you. We will tell you the general reason for the measure, although we may withhold details that would help someone get around our protection systems.
8. Chat, names and player content
- The Game has general chat by channel in the town square, whispers, conversations with friends, guild chat and guild messages. What you write in general chat is visible to the other players in that channel.
- We keep the latest lines of each general channel and of each private conversation so you can see the history when you come back (details in the Privacy Policy).
- We do not review every message, but we may delete content that breaks these Terms or the law.
- Reporting illegal or abusive content: write to soporte@idlelegions.com with the player's name, the channel, the approximate time and why you believe the content is illegal or abusive. We will review it and, if we take action, we will let you know.
- What you write and the names you choose are yours, but you give us permission to store them, show them in the Game and remove them.
9. Intellectual property
- The Game, its code, art, music, names and content belong to Alpaca Team or its licensors. Some third-party assets are used under their own licences; the credits are in the Game (Options › Credits).
- You may not copy, modify, decompile or distribute the Game except where the law expressly allows it.
- You may make videos, streams and screenshots of the Game, including monetised ones, as long as you do not present the content as your own.
10. Changes and end of service
- We may change or stop offering parts of the Game.
- If we decide to close the Game, we will announce it in the Game and on our Steam page at least 60 days in advance. When the service closes, Game content can no longer be used, including the in-game use of items held in your Steam inventory. DLC purchases are governed by Steam's policies and by your statutory rights.
11. Liability
- The Game is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or loss of profits, nor for temporary outages or lost play time.
- We are not responsible for what happens on third-party services such as Steam or Discord, which have their own terms.
- Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of your country, or our liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
12. Ending your account
- You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy Policy).
- We may close accounts that break these Terms (section 7).
- Deleting the account removes your progress and the Game content linked to it. DLC stays in your Steam library, and items already in your Steam inventory stay there.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. If the changes are important, we will announce them in the Game or on our Steam page before they apply. If you keep playing afterwards, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, you can stop playing and ask us to delete your account.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence. Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to solve the issue. You may also contact the consumer bodies of your country.
